There is tremendous power and positive energy in giving – it is a shame that not enough people have experienced it to the fullest. Pay It Forward Day is about all people, from all walks of life giving to someone else and making a positive difference.

So why Pay it Forward?SONY DSC

  • To encourage all of us to embrace the incredible power of giving.
  • To show each other that we care and that there is love, hope and magic all around us.
  • To know that we may be only one person in this world, but to one person, at one time, we are the world.

Make a difference and experience the true power of giving. Thank you for your support.

Together we can change the world – one good deed at a time!

A message from Catherine Ryan Hyde (Author of Pay it Forward)

Pay it Forward Day is a brilliant initiative. It embodies the power of giving which is the cornerstone of my book. It is amazing the difference a simple idea can have in changing the world – one good deed at a time. I hope everyone can join with Blake on April 28 and Pay it Forward.

A message from Blake Beattie (Pay It Forward Day Founder)

There’s something quietly powerful about doing something kind for a stranger with no expectation of anything in return.

Pay it Forward Day is built on that simple truth. Inspired by Catherine Ryan Hyde’s book of the same name, it’s a day that invites each of us to stop, look up from the rush of everyday life, and do something good for someone else. Not because we have to. Because we can.

Some people were sceptical at first. Nice idea, they said, but does it actually work in the real world? I believed it did, because I’ve always believed that people are genuinely giving at heart. Life gets busy, and that generosity gets buried under deadlines and demands. Pay it Forward Day is simply a moment to let it back out.

When you complete a good deed, a Pay it Forward card travels on with it, passed from person to person, act to act. What starts as one small gesture becomes something much bigger: a ripple that keeps moving, touching lives in ways you may never even see.

That’s the power of giving. We all have the power to change the world – one act of kindness at a time 🙂

So why just make it one day? Shouldn’t we be Paying it Forward every day?

Absolutely. We should be looking for ways to help others every day.   ‘Pay it Forward Day’ is a time when we all can remind ourselves of the power of giving and in the process we make this world that little bit brighter.

“From what we get we make a living – from what we give, we make a life.”
